We Believe in:
Verbal Plenary Inspiration of the Scripture
- We affirm the authority and truthfulness of the Bible. We believe that every word, forms of words, sentence in the Bible were inspired by God and that they were superintended by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Bible is eternal and inerrant. It is wholly reliable and it is our final authority in all situations and circumstances. (II Timo 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:89; Matthew 24:35; John 1:1-5.)
In the Trinity
- The Triune God. We believe there is one God who is eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost and that each part of the Godhead is distinct in function yet they are unified. Each part of the Godhead is fully God, distinct in Personhood yet unified in essence. (Matthew 28:19, I Corinthians 12:4-6, II Corinthians 13:14, John 14: 16-17, Genesis 1:1,26.
The Deity of Christ
- That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead on the third day. That, He ascended to heaven and is today seated at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor. (Matthew 1:20-21, Luke 1:35, Hebrews 7:25, Rom 8:34, I John 1:2-1)
The Fall of Man & Repentance
- That all humans have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, due to the sin of our first parents: Adama and Eve; and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for the remission of sins. (Romans 5: 12; Romans 3:23, Romans 5:19, II Peter 3:9, I Timothy 2:4)
Salvation & Justification
- That salvation and justification is only brought about by faith in the risen Christ and by acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:1-3, Titus 3:7)
Sanctification after Justification
- In sanctification as a follow-up to conversion through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ; the Word, and by the power of the Holy Ghost. (I Thess 5:23, John 17:17, II Timothy 2:21, Hebrews 9:14, 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Hebrews 13:12.)
Holiness (Set apart)
- In holiness as God’s Biblical standard of Christian living for believers. That means the church is called to be distinct in family relations, business practices, and healthy living. (I Peter 1:15-16, II Corinthians 7:1, Luke 1:74-75; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; Hebrews 12:14, II Corinthians 6:14)
Baptism in the Holy Ghost
- In the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in (unknown) tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2: 1-4, Romans 8:26, Acts 19:5-7, Mark 16:17, Acts 10:45-46, Isaiah 28:11-12, I Corinthians 14:2-5
Water Baptism
- In water baptism by immersion, (not sprinkling) and that baptism should be after repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Also, all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 3:16, Acts 8:36-39, Mark 16:15, Acts 10:47-48.)
Divine Healing Provided for all in the Atonement
- Divine healing is provided for all in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Psalm 103:1-6; Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; James 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:24. Act 10:38, Exo 23: 25-26, Exo 15:26.)
The Lord’s Supper
- The Lord’s Supper is a sacrament honored by all Christians. It is a holy ordained rite that Jesus Christ instituted to signify and seal the covenant of grace and strengthen His Church and that, when we partake of the Lord’s Supper, we commune with our Lord Jesus Christ and we re-enforce the redemptive finished work on the cross into our lives. (Luke 22:17-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34, Luke 24:30-32, Acts 2:46, Matthew 26:26-29, John 6:50-56)
Washing the Saints’ Feet
- John 13:5-17; Genesis, 18:4, Genesis 24: 32-41, Exodus 30:17-21, Judges 19:21.)
Second Coming of Jesus Christ
- In the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to rapture the living saints to Him in the air. Secondly to reign on the earth a thousand years. (Matthew 24:29-31, Acts 1:11, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; I Thessalonians 4:14-17; II Thessalonians 2:1, Zechariah 14:4-5, II Thessalonians 1:7-10; Colossians 3:4; Revelation 20:4-6)
The Resurrection
- In the bodily resurrection from death because Jesus Christ is the first born from the dead. He is the prototype of believer’s resurrection. Jesus’ resurrection from the dead signifies His victory over death and the promise of eternal life for believers. We believe if Jesus Christ had not risen from the dead, then no one else would be able to do so. (Revelation 1:5, Colossians 1:18, I Corinthians 15: 42-44, I Corinthians 15:20-22, Romans 8:11, Daniel 12:2)
The Church
- The Church is not the physical building. The Church, (the ecclesia) “the called out” is God’s governing political body on the earth, charged with God’s divine mandate to exercise God’s rule and dominion on the earth. (Genesis 1:26-28, Exodus 19:5-6; Matthew 16:18-19; Matthew 28:19,20; Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:41-47; Acts 20:28; 1 Corinthians 3:16-17; I Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:22-24; 1 Peter 2:9)
Sanctity of Marriage and Family Relationship
- Marriage is God’s original idea, and that God ordained marriage between a male and female (not two males and two females) for the procreation of humanity and the establishment of homes for children where joy and gladness can exist. Marriage is the oldest human institutions and it is older than the Church or human government. God abhors same sex marriages. God considers it as an abomination or perversion (Romans 1:26-27, I Corinthians 6:9-11, Genesis 2:24, Leviticus, 18:22, Genesis, 19:4-11)
Anointing with Oil
- The Anointing oil was a common practice in both the New and Old Testaments. It is far more than chemical but a mystery that serves as a potent symbol of the Holy Spirit, representing His awesome presence, anointing, and empowerment. The act of applying the anointing oil is an expression of faith in the Holy Spirit and a tool by which we invoke His (The Holy Ghost’s) presence, ministry, and power to bear in our affairs, and situations. (James 5:14-16, Exodus 29:7, Mark 6:13, Ruth 3:3, Leviticus 8:10-12, Leviticus 8:30, I Samuel 16:13; I Samuel 10:1, Daniel 10:3, Genesis 28:18, Exodus 28:41, Exodus 40:9, Exodus 30:30-33)
The Laying on of Hands
- The act of “laying on of hands” is one of the fundamental doctrines of Christ. It involves physically placing one’s hands on a person or objects for a God ordained purpose such as: consecration, transference, blessing, impartation, commissioning for service, healing, miracles, setting apart, receiving the Holy Spirit, and affirmation of God’s calling. (Deuteronomy 34:9, Numbers 27:18-20, Hebrews 6:1-2, I Timothy 4:14, I Timothy 5:22, Luke 4:40, Mark 16:18, Acts 19:6, Romans 1:11-12)
Gifts of the Holy Spirit
- Every believer is a gifted child of God and has been given a gift or gifts by the Holy Ghost to be used for the upbuilding of the body of Christ, and for which he or she will one day render account. (1 Corinthians 12:1, 1 Corinthians 7:7;Romns 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 14:1-5, 1 Corinthians 12:6-10)
Signs & Wonders
- Every born-again Christian is expected to operate in signs and wonders according to the Scriptures. (Mark 16:17-18; Romans 15:18-19; Hebrews 2:4, Acts 19:11-12; John 3:8; Isaiah 8:18)
Fruit of the Spirit
- Every true born-again Christian is expected to bare the fruit of the Holy Spirit in their walk with the Lord. (Galatians 5:22, 23; Ephesians 5:9-10; Philippians 1:11.)
Tithing and Giving
- Tithing and giving is an act of worship and appreciation to God. Tithing is giving to God a tenth percent of our income. It is a holy thing and it belongs to God. (Genesis 14:18-20; Genesis 28:20-22; Malachi 3:9-12; Luke 11:42; I Corinthians 16:2; II Corinthians 9:6-9; Hebrews 7:1-10.)
Eternal Punishment for the Wicked & Eternal Life for the Righteous
- The lake of fire is a reality, and that according to the Scriptures, it is the final place and eternal punishment for the unsaved. Those who have not believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and have not confessed Christ as their Lord and Personal Savior and therefore their names were not found in the Book of life. (Matthew 25:41-46; 2 Thessalonians 1: 8, 9; Revelation 20:10-15; Revelation 21:8.)
